Art Instruction

Hello! My name is Ms Cameron and I was a Visual Arts Teacher for a little over 10 years.  Below you will find examples of how I made my classroom the most engaging learning environment.

These posters are visual reminders of the expectations I make clear in my classroom.

LESSON PLANS

Here are examples of lesson plans I created to engage students during distance learning.  These lesson plans were designed to offer students a lot of choice based on the materials they had access to at home.

Pencil/Paper/Marker denotes the main materials students would need to complete these lessons.  These plans were shared as a step by step for students who needed homebound instruction.  This provided them a way to work asynchronously and then use our class time to ask question and deepen their understanding.

PPM- 1 Pt Perspective
PPM- Animal Mash-up
PPM- 4 Panel Cartoons

For the following lesson plans students could use paint of their choosing.  I believe offering choice increases the buy-in to the learning experience.

Interactive Digital Sketchbooks

Distance Learning added several challenges to collecting and grading weekly student sketchbooks.  I decided to create an interactive slide deck that students could edit and upload their work to so that there was a digital collection of their artwork at the end of the semester.

Students were permitted to change the look of the slides as long as the order or content did not change.  It gave them ownership of their "sketchbook" but still stayed consistent in the layout.
